Dedeman Palandoken Hotel

A quite old, but a good and friendly, typical mountain hotel for skiing (I would not call it resort).nnFirst of all, the location of the hotel is excellent, in the mid of the Palandöken ski track. You are in few minutes on ans off the track. This is very comfortable especially for families with kids, which need to make few breaks during the day to have lunch, tea, dinner etc. the tracks are opened 9-20:00, so it’s really comfortable to have your room instantly available.nnThe hotel has a ski room, where you get all your ski equipment for reasonable money (Feb 2021: 100TL per day for ski and boots). Also there is a cafe, which is very easy to reach directly from the track.nAlso there are own ski teachers working at the hotel, speaking Turkish, Russian, English etc.nnThe food is rich and good through the whole day. A lot of salads, meat etc.nnActually the hotel is worth 5 stars. However, I will give only 4, as we were placed into a smoking room with no view without even being asked at the arrival. Upon request next morning our rooms have been changed to a non- smoking room with great view on ski-track, without any problems. This gave us a feeling that the hotel staff tried to fill the not-so-attractive rooms first - very sad. So, be careful and ask for a non-smoking room with track view.

Great for ski in and out, but not many guests wearing masks, and it is not being enforced. Food is great, very good service, but the rooms are tired and some smell of smoke. The staff are nice and friendly. Pool, spa etc is closed due to covid - but when we booked we were told it was open. Shop keepers in the small shop inside the hotel smoke all day so avoid that corridor. Very friendly and helpful guys in the ski hire place and excellent ski and snowboard instructors.

Best location at Mt.Palandoken! Very easy ski in&out hotel and you feel like stay just in middle of slopes. Its like home at Palandoken

The location is great - half way down a slope so you can ski in and out of the hotel. Airport transfers are well organised.nThere is an excellent English speaking man called Zico who is very attentive to any ski rental you need.nBooking online is inadvisable as if you call up and speak to Mr Alkan, you can get all your questions answered as well as the prices for current deals. He is really fab.nThe rooms are comfy and warm though you may wish to turn down the radiator or open the window at night as the air is very dry.nThe restaurant is very good and had excellent catering and serving staff which put on a large buffet for every meal. 3 meals a day and alcohol and soft drinks during meals are included on the room rate as well as lift passes.nThe Teleski bar is the better of the two bars however has irregular closing times!nnI'll be back.
