Surp Sarkis Church in Ali Pasha neighborhood is registered on behalf of the Armenian Gregorian Community Foundation; It is a Catholic church. The church is also known as the Çeltik Church and Hızır İlyas Church. The date of construction of the church is unknown due to insufficient written resources and lack of inscription. It is dated to the 16th century by looking at its plan and architectural features. The building was used as a paddy factory for some time and is now in ruins and empty condition. Slum residents built adjacent use the courtyard for domestic purposes. The church; It has a basilica plan with three naves. The five-nave church, which is divided into four arches, is a two-storey building. The main building material used in the church is black basalt stone peculiar to Diyarbakır region. The church was built in masonry construction technique using smooth cut stone blocks. The main building material is volcanic basalt stone; iron, soil, wood and lime mortar are accompanied. Basalt stone is used in the walls, columns, column heads, arches, stair steps, door and window lintels, as well as in the floors.
