Dort Sandik Mosque

It is thought that the founder of Dört Sandık Mosque, located on a hillside in the Gökmeydan district of Bitlis, was not known, but was built in the years of l543-1552.nnThe mosque, which is made of thick cut stone and has a square plan, has a flat earth roof and is a simple structure. The place of worship is entered through a simple and post-constructed structure in the north. A single column in the middle of the place of worship supports the roof. A connection between this column and the walls is ensured, and the place of worship is divided into four sections covered with domes. There is a rectangular planned tomb covered with a vault over a door next to a simple niche. This tomb is buried in Sheikh Abdullah Redhshani.
