This is an absolutely appalling company, a total scam. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! There are plenty of other options at the airport including well known rental companies. Pay a little extra to avoid the hassle. Thank you to Car Plus for helping us out.

I have been trying on 13 October to make a new reservation on goldcar app (for Bodrum Airport 15-18 Oct). During payment process, after putting my mastercard 3D secure code, my debit card was charged 646,25 TRY. I didn’t received any confirmation of the reservation. I have been calling to the office in Spain and the speaker said, that he don’t see any new my reservation and after one hour money should be back on my account. Transaction have been finally settle on my card 15 October. I have been in Goldcar office on the Airport in Bodrum twice and they said, that they don’t see any new my reservation and they advice me to wrote an e-mail to customer service... No any help. Of course they said, that they will not rent me a car beacause they don't see my reservation. I wrote a claim on 16th October. It's more than one month and they didn't reply. I sent them bank confirmation, that they charged me without doing a new reservation.nnMy conclusion - never use they app, they can charge you, but they will not deliver you any car. Beside that Bodrum office will not help you in that kind of situation too.

Passive aggressive guy lied to us and added extra charges. Refused to accept debit card. Dishonest, greedy and mean. Avoid at all costs.

I really advise anyone to choose another car rental company. They objected to our driving license documents, pocketed our money and, except from providing us a tel number in the UK which was of no use, were of no help.

Avoid ,scam with the excess insurance .nnhad my own private excess insurance Goldcar refused to accept this ,and also told me they do not accept Argus compare car hires ,who i booked through who offered the excess insurance at just over £4 a-day .nEnded up having to take Gold Cars insurance at over £8 a-day ,not happy as i had my own as advised on Martin Lewis money saving website at just over £2 a-day.nThen to top it off we set off on our journey to find no water for the window wipers , would have thought just a basic check before cars were hired out
