Basilica Of Saint John

One of the best spots of the city. Lot of history within the walls of this site. Most notably is then presence of the tomb of Saint John right in the middle of the basilica.nSome areas are so we'll preserved that you can see the floor mosaic.nPart of this visiting site is also the north ottoman castle.nLots of places still under restoration so tourists are not yet allowed there.

Very peaceful at 12pm on Sunday. Not very many people walking around the site. You can also walk to the castle through here but we didn't go as it didn't seem like much to see. You can easily socially distance due to how empty it is. Plus it has a nice view of the column.

It was built over the tomb of St. John the beloved Apostle of Jesus, who was present at crucification

Not much left, but you can still get a sense of how grand it must have been.

I've been there more than 10 times, every season. It's not about visiting it's about vibes.
