Such a strong and beautiful church! We don't build them this way anymore, with hand-worked stone and marble! It must be at least 800 years old! It's a shame to be left in such a terrible condition and used by strangers as barn for cattle! If you examine closely, in certain parts of walls, you can find traces of the original colored paintings (probably depicting acts by various christian saints) underneath the white paint the Ottomans tried to hide it!

Eklisia apo thn sourmena in Trapezounta. I cannot read the real names of these churches and schools today as a result of the dismantling of the three churches and Greek schools which were used as a mukhtar. This is one of the three churches that survived in the district of Surmene, and unfortunately the painful situation of two of them, the treasure seekers and indigenous people have looted and abandoned these historical structures. No work has been done by the only people who know and bring friends and acquaintances of the birbyer they were walking around the church in the picture last year was used as a sheep barn with a word ...!

It's an old church. It is wonderful as a tourist attraction. Tourists often come here and take lots of photos.
