Öküzyatağı kamp

There is a superb camping area with a view of Kackar. If you do not take precautions against oxen, your tent may be damaged.

This camp site is used for the classic and large glacier climbing on the north side of the Kaçkar Mountain summit. The altitude is 2900 meters. You can reach upwards in 3-4 hours according to performance and load condition. It has a very beautiful path that comes out of its neck and is marked. You can easily use the water of the stream. You do not need to take much water with you. The 500 ml water bottle will do your job easily. If you are climbing the summit, you should take at least two liters of water. Since the small glacier is now melting, you can supply water during climbing. Remember that it is snow water, you should sweeten it. You can also walk from this camp site to the large sea lake or derebaşı lake.
