It was declared as Uzunkum Nature Park on 02 December 2014 within the borders of Kocaeli province, Kandıra district.nnIt has a wide and long beach with a coast to the Black Sea in the northern part. Pancratium maritimum, an endangered species of bulbous plant known as sand lily, grows in the area.nnIn its flora, sandhorn, sand lily, juniper, acorn, laurel, ash, cedar, rosehip, hornbeam, boxwood, cranberry cherry, crocus, euphorbia, redbud, camel, hemorrhoids, desert violet, shrub, karakili, moss species, flint clover and kender.nnIn its fauna, there are turtle, fox, rabbit, turtle, partridge, blackbird, Yelfe, owl, beaver, crazy, arrowed hedgehog.nnUzunkum Mevkii has a geologically different feature. A large part of Uzunkum Nature Park is forest ecosystem formed by pine forests. I do not recommend it to those with low roads since the car is not a protected area. It is very nice and quiet. You can swim and swim comfortably.

Such places do not develop unless there is a facility or service.

The road is broken, the beach is not worth going dirty

Tranquil huge beach but the road stabilized coastline full of garbage from the sea got drinking water at the entrance room 1500 m around the beach shore no facility no other beaches on the back side
