Süleymanpaşa Bath has been identified with different names such as Dere Hamam or Yukari Pazar Hamam. The Süleyman Pasha Bath was built by Şehzade Süleyman, who also built the Orhan Gazi Mosque. The exact date of birth of Süleyman Pasha, who built the bath, is not certain.
