St. Gregory of Abumarents

The weather was really good there even during winter. Lots rabbits and church was amazing.

Church itself is very beautiful but interior walls are ruined with the random names of people and pickup lines carved and written by chalk on the walls. It angered me quite a lot to see this madness. A church has been standing there for almost thousand years and some uneducated people come here and give permanent damage to this marvellous structure!

According to National Geographic, the Church of St. Gregory of the Abgamuru family is one of Ani's earliest churches. It was built as a private chapel of the influential Pahiravni family. Like many of Ani's churches, its location was deliberately chosen so that it could be seen from a great distance in the city.nIn 1064, the Seljuks invaded. At the end of the 11th century, the Manuchihr mosque was built under Islamic Shaddadid rule. Later, Christian rule was resumed under the Kingdom of Georgia (Georgia), and many churches were built during this period. The church of St. Gregory of Tigran Hornent (Armenian donor), built in 1215, is one of them.

One of the few most beaten works is this church, which has survived all natural disasters. But whatever the bipedal animals of our day think it is to engrave names, I think it is nice to sign it. In the meantime, I am mixing pictures.

A place beyond magnificent. If you are in this country, you should definitely see the whole city and buildings. I can say that it is the biggest ancient city in our country. The roads on the way to the city are very beautiful and there are modern buildings with sinks. It takes minimum 4-5 hours to visit the whole city alone. It would be best to plan accordingly.
