Roman Catholic Church Santa Maria Draperis

A very nice catholic church located on the Istiklal avenue. It is somehow hidden, you need to take the stairs down to see more of it.

Established in 1584, the church is one of the most ancient Roman Catholic parishes of Istanbul.nnThere was a Levantine woman named Clara Maria Draperis who endowed her house and a small chapel for the monks to build the church.

Padre Makuta is the best.and if you are Cristian this is a good located catholic rome church and have very kind helpful priest.

A Beautiful Church,The colors are beautiful and you feel as if you go back in time to the old cosmopolitan city of İstanbul.A must see while visiting or travelling in İstanbul.İ suggest you also visit the Uç Horan Armenian church if you are touring the area and are interested in the Christian heritage sites of İstanbul.

Beautiful church on Istiklal - great photos and an escape from the crowds. I found the church has off hours open, be sure to check google first
