Central Church of the Virgin Mary

This is a hidden gem. Beautiful church and church yard.

Turkish Orthodox Church. Was closed even on a Sunday.

Although we weren't very sure, we watched a theater play named Macbeth's Witches in this church with the daughter of my late cousin who lived in Feriköy in the mid 80s. I liked it very much, whether it was the staging technique or the specificity of the places. This evening, I guess, it was an evening when I had a tour in the rose garden of my memories, which I had returned to.

Unlike the noise outside, it's so quiet. When you enter the garden through the outer doors, all the voices begin to move away from the environment. Killise was made in the 1475s. It is a closed interior except on Sundays, but you can walk around.

As far as I know, when the Greek Orthodox Church supported the Greek in the War of Independence, Pope Eftim, one of the Turkish Christians, founded the Turkish Orthodox Patriarchate to separate the Turkish or Homeland-loving Christians from the traitors and support Ataturk.
