Very nice place❤ufe0fnHagia Triada Greek Church; It was built in 1879 on Taksim Istiklal Street Meselik Street on the Rumeli side of the Bosphorus. The church, which overlooks Taksim Square and has an entrance from Istiklal Street Meselik Street, is the largest Greek Orthodox structure in Istanbul. The name of the church comes from the description of the place of the Holy Trinity in Christianity. This region was the Greek Cemetery in the 19th century. After the outbreak of cholera, this cemetery was not used and new burials were built in the district of Pangaltı, which was then outside the city. After the 1876 cemetery was transplanted, the building permission was granted here. The architect of the building is Vasilaki Efendi. This information is understood from the inscription on the church. The building was built on a large area surrounded by high walls. There are social structures in the north and northwest of the courtyard. The church was built on the east and west axes. The church has a Greek pilgrim plan. The building has a central dome. There are two life towers on both sides of the narthex.nnIn the west entrance, six digits are entered into the narthex. At the entrance there is a portico with 5 columns. This lasts in the form of two layers. At the top is a rose window. From the north of the entrance is the entrance to the holy spring. To the south is the entrance to the women's court. In the main space, the column bases separating the side naves are octagonal. The column headings are corinthian. The dome pulley has twelve windows.
