Taksim square

No words to describe the feeling I get whenever I visit taksim square. It's a modern place with a great touch of historical hands . Can find both modern cuisine and traditional ones. Modern clothing as well as traditional ones. One of my favorite spots I like to visit while I go there is the ice cream men there .. hope you all heard about them through social medias ..they cheer you before the ice cream with tricks and dramatic delivery of the ice cream. You can find traditional accessories that are hand crafted and so beautiful.

I consider this the heart of Istanbul. Always love to spend my afternoons here. Munch on chestnuts and watch the crowds. Chat with friends and soak up some sun. Very easy to reach and many good sightseeing spots close by.

Just have to see and experience taksim square. It is safe and clean. Due to corona people bought their food in restaurants (i do not recommend Burger King ) but had to eat on the ground on the square. Did not give that much thought about that, the authorities. Other than that, got to love Istanbul.

The place is a central point. Metro and most buses have stop here. There are benches here which come in handy due to restrictions on eating in restaurants. Now a days evenings are quite chilly and there is light bareez so warm clothes are recommended.

It's a beautiful square with the Republican monument in the middle of it. In the surrounding you'll find the most famous avenue of Istanbul with all kinds of store. There is also a mosque close to this square.
