Basilica Cistern

A magical underground place that really is unlike any place! It has all of the medusa vibes! It is a series of tunnels that lead to a street in the middle of the city at the end of it. It is a cave of actual wonder. Every historical artifact found there has a thorough description and you feel a lot more informed whenever you leave this place. One of the many places I would recommend in this amazing city!

It's not that bad to see this building underground but it's not amazing for me .lots of columns ,low light

As a structure it's not very special. But stand awhile and marvel at the ingenuity of the workers who had to build it or even contemplate designing it beneath the city all those hundred of years ago. Then it becomes very impressive. The Ottoman race was highly skilled at huge projects.

If you know Inferno you will like this place and you will understand it.nEffectively, I expected a little more from this place but good to visit it once for tourists.nA lot of columns with nice lighting.nYou can take sultan's photo session their.nTicket price is affordable.

My favorite mystical place in Istanbul. It was better when it was a little bit of water and fishes circling in it, I hope it will be back after a restoration
