The station itself is wonderful. However, during this pandemic, the filthiness of the employees became clear and apparent.nEvery time I have entered into the station, there are employees without respect precaution , not wearing face masks. At the same time, their biggest task is to see to social distancing measures and that the Passengers wear masks. Their lack of integrity and respect to do so themselves makes any enforcement against the passengers ARBITRARY. Today, I entered and 5 employees at every function of the station were not wearing masks. So, it makes sense when I went through the carousel and tried to go to the platform a female employee stopped me. She was arrogant and I professional. She immediately told me to stop, told me I had taken photo and then used her radio to tell someone to call the police. Only afterwards, she asked to see my phone. She has no right to do so. That and her sickening attitude rendered my decision to retain my rights and refuse to cooperate with her haste and hostility. Afterwards several more unmasked workers joined her. A few tried to encourage her to let it go, but she insisted on the police. The supervisor candidly explained that unless my phone is down below my face and my neck is bent downwards, and if my phone is up, then I am taking photos or recording.nOnly commercial video and photographs are subject to permission. This arrogant, unprofessional woman's action was caused by her guilt and not because I did anything wrong. Infact, I didn't take any photos or videos. However, if I did, it was none of her business. Even while the police were there, the supervisor stood arm to arm with his colleagues, masks off, smoking a cigarette. All illegal. The penalty for not wearing a mask here must be issued by the police, so even he Istanbul Police were insubordinate. I asked to be taken to the karakol and given a lawyer and translator, because my crime could not be told to me. There was no crime. This was an abuse of power by the security agency used at the Marmaray stations. Absolutely disgustingly unprofessional workers there. I use the station at least 6 times a week, and I've seen their unprofessional behavior each time. Infact, I have looked forward to it. Now, I will make an official complaint to the court for their recklessness and abuse of power. They threatened me that there were cameras everywhere, and each one would show their illegal behavior. However not one would show any wrongdoing I made. Had I of not known enough Turkish , had the police continued to be as aggressive as they initially came to me as, the situation could have been worse. All because of this one arrogant girls ego.

The name Söğütlüçeşme is taken from the willow trees near the Kurbağlıdere, which is the most important stream of Kadıköy, and from the rich water resources and springs of the district.
