In winter it looks abandoned and very old, but it has a nice view

There’s no sand beach as such, except for some small meters, just the platforms of the beach club terrace. You can go down the stairs to have a bath. The water was not very clean though and it was too crowded (both the bathing area and the sunbath area). Definitely it could be a nice place in the past but nowadays needs some maintenance. In my opinion is not worth the price. The music was nice though.

Very bad sea, it's not for swimming, swamp. Highly not recommended.

Decent beach with a sandy area with some sand/gravel mix. A small portion is sand. We paid 60TL per person (includes the boat trip there and back) but it was a lot and a Turkish family was shocked. The funny thing is that there is another beach, also with a boat ride included, is 30 tl and they are adjacent to each other (only thing separating them is a floating foam line). Hindsight is 20/20. Boats drop off and don't take you back until 5 pm but you'll be stuck on the island until 18:50 for the next ferry and won't be able to return until 20:30 to İstanbul. We lucked out and took a scooter for 20 Lira per person to the main part of Heybeliada and caught the 15:15 ferry. This beach has a restaurant and they serve beer. There is loud techno music but I liked it. There are tiny jellyfish and I was assured they were harmless / dead. I swam in the water with many people and didn't have an issue with the jellyfish. I guess i would suggest the cheaper beach as it's the same Water. Ada Pilaj (Beach) has nice amenities like changing rooms and clean bathrooms and lots of seating. Last boat in is at about 3 pm from the main part of Heybeliada. The staff, while young, were incredibly hospitable and friendly. For a day trip out of İstanbul, it's worth the hassle. I didn't give a five star rating only because we specifically asked about the boat leave time and we had either been misinformed or we didn't understand clearly. Either way, considering the number of foreigners on the beach with us (US, Russian, British), one would expect a google translated page printed and clearly displayed. Google translate is free and so there is no reason why this wasn't done. Anyhow, live and learn.

We arrived around 3pm at ADA Beach. After payment, you have to look for a place by yourself the team is not helping you at all. So if you arrive in a group beware.nnVery dirty water, water cans, garbage .... a very small area where more than a hundred people are swiming all together. We were very disappointed and took the next ferry to leave. For a fee of 80 TL and the marketing behind it, we expected better .. much better. I definitely do not recommend !
