I'd recommend seeing the place first before booking. They demand payment for one night even though we left due to deceptive advertising. Payment is also non refundable. Looked nothing like it did on the internet. Terribly disappointing, next time prioritise your guests, especially if you're making them pay a deposit for a deception. One star for a nice bathroom.

We loved this boutique hotel's beautiful and unique looking historic building, its warm and welcoming hosts, complimentary tea and water, stunning waterline views of the Bosphorus framed by trees, incredibly quiet surrounding atmosphere, and the extraordinarily delicious traditional Turkish breakfast which included quality cheeses and homemade rose jam, candied chestnut, candied vegetables and fruits, borek, eggs, bread and so much more. We also really enjoyed the cozy and beautiful upper floor lounge which provided comfortable furniture, books and board games. We are expats who have been living in Istanbul City and felt as though we were a world away and had traveled back in time when we stayed at this marvelous hotel. The only potential cons for you will be that the location is a 20 minute uphill walk from the ferry station. We're in good shape, but it was a haul with our heavy backpacks. Those who are less fit or prefer less of a struggle should charter a carriage or buggy from the docks. The historic building does not allow for sound insulation and so for guests with a room on the ground floor who want to go to bed early, you may have a challenging time sleeping if guests on the upper floors are awake. Every footstep can be heard clearly.nnWe'll definitely visit again and recommend that you do too! Phenomenal value for the money, unbeatable breakfasts, wonderful hosts and the setting is incomparable.

Anything this 100 year old building lacks in luxury it makes up with unique architecture, location and the friendly staff.nnThe place is clean and quiet.nnThe views are superb.

Loved it! Old world authentic charm owner, run. Best home cooked meal for dinner. Bit of a walk from the hustle and bustle of main village but defnitetly worth the walk.
