Greek Orthodox Church of Ayios Dimitrios; It was built in 1856 on Alaçam Street in Büyükada, Istanbul. Since 1924 it has also been used as the metropolitan of the Princes' Islands. The architect of the church is Fistikas. The church suffered great damage from the earthquake in 1999. It was repaired in 2010 and opened to service. The church was built on the east and west axis. The church is located in a courtyard. The narthex to the west of the church is entered through three doors. The building is made of rough rubble and the walls are plastered. The building has a two-way breaking roof. The church has a basilica plan. The structure consists of three naves. The middle nave is wider. Between the middle nave and the naves on the side are five columns. The columns are connected to each other by arches. The church has rococo-style decorations. The general style of the church is eclectic.
