The mosque was built by Musa Celebinin vezirazami Kor Sah Melek Pasa. Its minaret was destroyed in Balkan Wars and rebuilt. Restored, please let's have these works, let's not destroy them for our own visual

Şahmelek Mosque is the mosque in the direction of Edirne and north of the new Gazi Mihal Bridge and was built in 1429. It is a single domed structure made of cut stone as a neighborhood mosque. There is spectacular stonework on the crown door and the inner walls are covered with hexagonal tile panels with rumi borders. It is decorated in places with tiled plaster altar, octagonal inserts, geometric borders and rumi motifs. It is known that there was a madrasa in the place where Şahmelek Mosque is located before and one of the famous lawyers Molla Hüsrev was a professor here. Blind Shah Melek Pasha, the vizier of Musa Çelebi, built the mosque. The minaret of the Shah Melek Mosque was destroyed during the Balkan War and later rebuilt.
