Placed on a flat land in the Harmanlar Quarter, the work extends Harmanlar Street to the north and Samancı Street to the east. It is also referred to as Aşağı Harmanlar Mosque among the public and in some published information. Although the builder and date of construction cannot be determined since it does not have an epigraph, it is stated that it was built in 1903 with the current writing on a marble slab placed on the west side of the door opening. The mosque lost its original shape, except for its wooden ceiling and mihrab, due to repairs it underwent at various dates after being severely damaged in the 1943 earthquake. In the north of the rectangular planned sanctuary in the north-south direction, there is a rectangular planned, closed last congregation place in the east-west direction. It is covered with a gable roof. Although there is no more information about its first structure, the square-section plinth on the west side of the north wall of the sanctuary and the rough stone-lath mass of the square-section shoe rising from the roof level suggest that the building may have been built with non-woven material in its original form. Currently, the rectangular sanctuary in the north-south direction is covered with beams in the east-west direction, resting on the main beams on the east and west sides, and a flat wooden ceiling in the middle. The ceiling is basically seated on a square-section main beam, the ends of which are anchored into the north and south walls, and are placed in their midline, and the lower faces are supported by a wooden column with profiled pillows. In addition, the lower surfaces of the beams in the east-west direction, which can be seen from the main beam, were cut with a “C-S” curve profile. The central part of the ceiling, which extends perpendicular to the altar, is divided into square frames with profiled thin laths, and a rectangular framed geometric composition with interlocking octagons developing around each square is formed in the center. A similar scheme is repeated as a very small panel on the north and south sides of the composition. The mihrab is in the form of a recessed niche with a semicircular plan placed on the south wall axis. It is completely made of gypsum material. The arch is curved in the appearance of a decorative eyebrow arch, and in addition, to form a rectangular border to the altar, two side and top edges were made, slightly protruding from the wall surface. The outer border of the mihrab frame is in the form of a concave curved, scalloped belt in the middle, while the other borders inside are flat surfaces. There are flower reliefs around the Kavsara arch and on the stirrup axis. The pulpit is in the southwest corner and is a new element made of wood.
