After the entrance, the city center is reached after a 30-minute walk. The path between the bushes will take you to the center.

Our perfect ancient city was established on a steep land, and since the entrance is completely covered with brushwork, it is one of our ancient cities that we have zero protection and maintenance, where walking and taking photographs are based on coincidences, unfortunately, I was able to publish them briefly because there was no detailed photo. Please let us have these works and not destroy them for our own vision, please thank you.

Ancient City of Milias: It is located within the borders of Bucak district of Burdur province. It is on a natural hill between Gökalan and the Kestros Valley. Hellenistic and Roman settlements in the eastern part of the city has seen, west and south of the steep, rocky surrounded by extremely hard to reach. in the space between the rocky walls are made of. The Necropolis of the outside walls and the north. Most of the houses were built on bedrock cut. It has a small and bedded theater. The status of the structure shows that in the history of the Milias İ.Ö.5-4 yy'l up. The original name of the city in this region known as Milias not yet been encountered. Cisterns structures that can be seen today, Agora Theater and structures.

This place is really tough. Even though the road is always asphalt in transportation, you always ask yourself how far I will go. But if you follow the path from google maps without fear, without giving up. You'il be here. Of course, people need to ask the road to the villagers on the road. Because there is no proper sign. The feeling I'm lost wakes up. You've followed the road through the maps, and it doesn't end when you arrive at Milyosa. Milyos is a bit above the entrance. You will walk 2 km to the narrow paths. Man thinks he's lost again. He doesn't even ride a bike. The signage pattern is already missing. But you arrive. On your arrival you can also enjoy nature, landscape. There's not much left in history. Just because it is a city of cut stones, earthquakes have all gone and have been destroyed. But worth it. Both nature and history. Two together. I think it's worth

Kocaaliler, whose former name is Melli, inherited the name Melli from the ancient city of Milyos, which is approximately 1 km above the central settlement. It is thought that the name Melli evolved from the name 'Millias'. The name Melli has been preserved until recently. Like the conversion of Kayı village to Demirli in the region, the Melli region got its share from these wrong policies and was replaced by the natural name Melli Kocaaliler, which evolved from the ancient city of Milyos. Milyos Ancient City It is an ancient city established on a hill overlooking the region and about one km from the center of Kocaaliler (Melli) town, which is approximately 30 km from Bucak center, in Bucak district of Burdur province. The dominant regions of Pisidia region are Milyos region with Sagalassos, Kremna, Adada, Antiocheia, Selge Termessos regions. Milyos Ancient City was founded on a dominant hill overlooking the Aksu Stream valley, whose name was Kestros in ancient times. The 1 km long path from the security hut located in the center of the settlement, takes you through the Milyos Necropolis and takes you to the center of the ancient city. Along the path, there are two historical sites, one of which is a sarcophagus, but illegal excavations. they have been destroyed due to There is a historical water cistern on the left side of the pathway near the city. During the Roman period and when Alexander was dominated by the Sagalassos, the Millias region became inhabited during the period when the Hellenistic influence was gradually effective in the region. It will be the first antis planned temple in the city center that starts after the necropolis. There are many ruins of buildings in the environment that are quite ruined. Most of the buildings (including the theater) were built with support from the bedrock. Among these structures, the theater and the intact public structure in front of it are a point of attraction among the ruins. The theater of Milyos Ancient City gains a privileged place between its landscape and Anatolian theaters. The stage building of the theater, which is made by carving the cavea, that is, the spectator cone, is very ruined. The public building, which is located between the agora and the theater and gives the impression that the theater is the stage building at first glance, is the most solid structure of the city. I do not know about the function of the building, which is referred to as a "market building" in a source. The stele and inscribed monuments on the agora, which is located right in front of the public building and in the completely ruined agora, will attract your attention. In addition to many damaged buildings in the city, one of the structures whose function can be understood is the cisterns in the south of the theater. We can relate the reason why there are so many water cisterns in the city with the lack of water sources very close. I could not have an idea about the function of any of the buildings that started from these cisterns, which gave the appearance of lined up around a street and which were quite ruined. To the west of the theater is a monumental staircase, perhaps a monumental entrance. The architectural parts around this building, whose height quota is much lower than the theater, confirm the existence of a monumental building. Stairs descending from this monumental building down to the forest indicate that this building is a monumental entrance gate. The flora of the region, which gives a very rich example of Mediterranean maquisiness, is too rich to be overlooked.
