Jinmianshan Trail

Make sure that you are ready to do this hike. Bring some water and some granola bars. It is steep in some areas, lots of boulders, and rocks if you don’t watch your step. Great place for rock climbers in some areas (very little bouldering spots). There are many routes to go up and down but great for taking photos. There are a lot of people too during weekend.

Very difficult, steep and long hike (45 mins or so with little pauses in between) Wear good trainer shoes. Ropes and things to get up - a very high altitude. Absolutely breathtaking views on the top. A hybrid between Elephant mountain city views and rocky textures at Warship rock pro hike. Amazing photo opportunities also :)

Nice trail with good view of Taipei city and Songshan district. A bit short but good for those who just want to look for a short hike up the hill with some rock climbing. Recommend hiking shoes as some of the rocks are a bit steep. Overall climb is fairly easy.

It is one of the adventurous and popular hiking trails in Taipei with partial easy rock climbing. Some of the rocks are steep, so hiking shoes are highly recommended. The trail head is easy to find from 西湖metro station with signs, and the maps are everywhere on the trail. The view on the summit is gorgeous and covers Neihu and the east Taipei areas.

Cool hiking trail. Consists of steps, trails, and big rocks that you need to traverse. The diversity of this trail makes it fun. About 90 minutes to get up and down
