You get what you pay for. It was the only place available for the first summer holidays weekend. Paid 2 nights and only stayed for 1 when better hotel became available.

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Clearly very old, with holes in the carpet, mold and bacterial build-up on the shower head and bathroom walls, a toilet that didn't flush unless you held down the lever for a long time, and a bathroom that flooded for every shower. We could hear other guests through the walls and noise from the street below. My friends and I felt scared for our safety. The staff were nice enough, although their English ability was limited. When we first checked in though, they seemed to have misplaced our reservation--they spent 5 minutes looking through their papers (the names on which we could all read, what a fantastic job of protecting your guests' privacy) and their email, but they never found our reservation, just had me write down my name and phone number. We were definitely overcharged for our stay--a different weekend would have cost half as much. The only bright side was the location, just a 3 min walk from the Taitung Bus Station.

Neat, good service, breakfast on the ground floor is good.

Absolutely old and demolished.
