Crown Hotel

Thinnest walls I've ever experienced in a hotel. Literally no better than a piece of cardboard. I could hear every little thing the neighbor was saying and was kept awake all night by their restless baby. Why they placed me next to this other foreigner when the entire remainder of the floor was empty, I do not know. I thought it would serve as a simple place to crash. It wasn't.

Good location. Walking distance to Chiayi train station and the night market. Lots of shops and eateries around every corner. Room is old and toilet does show its years. However, everything works. Full set of toiletries and bottled water provided daily. Counter staff at reception is average only. Not much help when asked for guidance on city's highlights. Wifi is good and available in-room.

Very recomended coz near at bus station , price no expensive. Easy to find food n location very2 strategic.

Great hotel. I booked single room for 1 person from Agoda but I received 3-people room. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Nice services. I'll stay here again.

Old and pretty rundown hotel. Booked on Airbnb and the photos of rooms were misleading, our room was not as nice as the ones in the photos. Bathroom is old and needs renovation and the floors are worn out. Bed is hard and uncomfortable (might be comfortable if you are used to sleeping on a bamboo mat.) All the hallways smell like cigarette smoke. The room is slightly better. The main lobby looked like it had been updated recently but not the actual rooms. The only positive was the price and location (close to the train station). You get what you pay for, it's fine for staying for one night, but we stayed in other Airbnbs in Taiwan for about the same price that were newer and cleaner.
