Very interesting tea shop and tour. They still use the charcoal method along with more modern technology. I highly recommend visiting, talking to the staff about the different teas and the tour. Of course we bought plenty of teas to bring home.

Purchasing tea in this store is an experience! First, an associate will ask you about your preferences and whether you'd like oolong or black tea. Depending on your tastes, she might recommended a light, refreshing brew or one that is richer and more aromatic. Then, you'll be invited to taste a couple of selections. We learned that the ideal water temperature for brewing tea depends on which blend you're brewing. The flavor also becomes deeper after the leaves have been steeped multiple times. After we purchased a couple of different varieties of oolong to take home, we were invited on a little tour of the factory. Even today, the tea they make here is cured using charcoal. (Although an electric machine is used for some products as well.) Meticulously created panels in the factory have descriptions of the curing process in Chinese, English and Japanese. If you're looking to purchase some high-quality oolong tea in Taipei, I'd recommend coming here first!

Still roasting excellent tea using traditional methods, this is a great place to learn about tea production in the heart of Taipei. Annie gave us a very informative tour of the facility and answered our many questions in very good English.

A bit tucked in but recommend. Our Sales Assistant/Quick Tour Guide was very thorough explaining the tea making, tea types, and ways making tea. She also answered some of our questions about tea. We tried about 3 different teas and found our perfect teas. Fragrant and tasty tea. At the back of the shop is also a living facility to make teas the old way, complete with an old man doing QA on tea stems that haven’t been picked up by machine. Definitely worth visiting.
