On My Way Taitung Hostel & Backpakcer

The place is small but cozy. It's close to the station and very friendly staff. The breakfast was also very good. This is the perfect place if you want to meet people and have nice conversations. The staff welcomed me to have dinner with them the night I arrived and made sure I felt comfortable despite the language barrier. One thing to note is you have to do your dishes when they cook you breakfast. There was no sign anywhere indicating that so I made the mistake of just leaving my plate in the sink, assuming the staff would take care of it since they're the ones making breakfast. At least that's how it usually works when you get served breakfast at a hotel or other kinds of accommodation. Anyways, it was just an awkward encounter when the lady told me I had to do my own dishes. Overall stay was good and I would stay here again if I make my way back to Taitung.

Check in service was very efficient and helpful and 小八 is extremely friendly and professional! The environment is of high quality given the very affordable price! So clean and tidy! The best hostel ever! Will definitely come back again if I ever come to Taidong again!!

The location is awesome and so nearby the train station if you are taking trains to Taitung, and if you are taking buses to other places! The hostel and bedroom are cozy and spacious, the information wall is quite detailed and useful, the staff is friendly and helpful! :) The bed is comfy and spacious but the mattress is a bit soft for me. By the way, their lockers in every bedroom are really spacious and thoughtful! I was there nearly around 11 pm, and they were still waiting me. Thank you so much! It’s a great stopover before going to Lanyu for me. It’s so relaxed and chilled! Make sure you make the reservation earlier if it’s in high season or some holiday!

Do it! Worth the trip! This hostel made the trip worth more than a place to sleep. A hostel is to chat learn and explore others who stay there. You’ll be surprised by the fun atmosphere and great hosts or workers there who contribute more than any other hostel I’ve stayed at in Taiwan. A hostel I’ll visit again as it’s a community of people traveling and sharing stories!

A lovely and friendly place full of happiness. The clerks here are easily to communicate and hunger to satisfy people's demand. The rooms are clean and the public space can make the guests feel as relax as at home.
