It’s not the newest, cleanest, or brightest hotel I’ve been to, but I give it major props for being only affordable backpacker option in Keelung AND the family that runs the place is super friendly. They were patient with my broken Mandarin (and speak some English) and made sure we always had what we needed in terms of toiletries/towels/etc.nnThe sign you're looking for says this: 協和旅社. It's on the second floor.
600 twd for a double room on weekday, extremely old and dirty hotel, poor lighting in toilet, poor hygiene, no laundry facilities, everything is horrible, but, you have no choice at keelung city if you're a budget traveller, there're no backpacker hostels at all
