The nice owner makes me wish I could review this hotel better, but these are the reasons you should not stay here:nn1. Cockroaches. It's upsetting when your hotel, despite the relative expense is overrun with roaches.nn2. Smoking in rooms. On our second night, my wife asked me if I could smell smoke. We were worried that the hotel was on fire. I told her it must be something outside, so we closed the window. Ten minutes later the fire alarm went off. Naturally we sprung up, grabbed necessities and rushed down the stairs. When we got to the lobby, we were greeted with incredulity and told that it was just somebody smoking in their room. That explains the general musty, ashy smell then.nn3. Despite advertising that they speak English, something we often look for in a hotel, we received a number of phonecalls before arriving. Concerned, I asked a colleague to call them back. They were demanding payment before arrival, but could not communicate this with us. Frustrating.nn4. The gym is a treadmill and a stationary bike with a children's play area on the side. It's not a gym.nn5. Rooms and corridors were dirty and lacked general attention to detail. We had to request toilet paper from the front desk on arrival, a fake nail was on the table in the room and the carpets were covered in stains.nnThere are a few nice things which earn it the two stars.nn1. The rooftop is quite nice.nn2. The free bike rental was cool. Although they did ask for money the second day which was sketchy.

Best service.....free bikes are available.
