Historical shop for wedding cakes and cookies. Really professional in their tasting experience: you choose from their list and you are taken samples to test, accompanied with tea. Environment is comfy and with traditional Taiwanese style design. It's a must go in Kaohsiung!

The service was very good. I tried it three times before and after. The service staff kindly said that it was okay. After eating a few times, I knew what I wanted. The mushroom stewed pork was really delicious.

Wedding cakes, also known as wedding cakes and 囍 cakes, are traditional wedding cakes given to females by the male family as a betrothal gift in the traditional Chinese culture circle. According to different wedding customs in different regions, some will be distributed before the wedding banquet, some will be distributed after the wedding banquet, and some will be distributed during the wedding banquet. There is a saying that the bride should not eat the wedding cake, which not only symbolizes that he will eat the joy sent to him, but he will also become greedy and the marriage will not be completed. There is also a saying that the reason why the bride should not eat the wedding cake during the big gift is that the bride will become cheeky and not humble after eating it.nnBecause of the different food customs in different places, the food served as wedding cakes varies from place to place. For example, traditional wedding cakes in southern China are a specific type of Tang cakes, and the northwest region, which is dominated by pasta, uses buns as wedding cakes. In many areas, not only Xikui, which is used as wedding cake, but also sesame cake (a round cake with a diameter of about 20 cm, filled with sesame, red and green silk, and white sugar, is printed on the surface of the cake. It is also covered with white sesame seeds). Korean traditional wedding cakes are specific types of Korean fruit, Japanese traditional wedding cakes are specific types of wagashi, Vietnamese traditional wedding cakes are husband and wife cakes, and Ryukyu traditional wedding cakes are specific types of Ryukyu fruits. Since nearly half a century, Hong Kong, Macau, Guangdong and other places have also made special dragon and phoenix cakes, which are pairs of dragon and phoenix cakes, usually used for gods.
