The predecessor was the Hengchun Tropical Plant Breeding Farm of the Japanese Era, which introduced more than 500 exotic tropical plants and was planned as a tropical botanical garden after the war. It is listed on the World Plant List together with the Taipei Botanical Garden. It has a unique high coral reef topography (200~300M above sea level), and it is also the highest and oldest sea terrace in the national park. The coral reef limestone trail has various topographical landscapes: fairy cave, Yixiantian, Chuirong Valley, etc. It can be seen that the Hengchun Peninsula freshwater crab-Yellow Grey Crab crawling. Sika deer gather for food in the evening when there are few people. It belongs to the tropical monsoon forest. It is different from the tropical rain forest in that there is a clear dry season (downhill wind from October to April), and there is a higher proportion of deciduous tree species.

In recent years, more and more people have come to the National Park. It is also because everyone knows how to enjoy life more and more. They will ride over from the town in the morning to take a look, and then start a day full of energy. The park is very large and you can stroll for more than three hours, and there is also a Guanhailou, which is very worth visiting.
