If you love a good night out Rubans is a fantastic place to go. It's a great bilingual bar with good food to boot. The food was a little pricey but makes up for it in quality so you do get what you paid for. I was surprised to see a 60 oz tomahawk steak to share and was wondering if anyone has actually tried to eat it alone and would be a cool challenge to set for customers. Beautiful atmosphere and completely underrated. Staff are incredibly friendly and the owner, Francis, makes you feel at home.

Nice foods. They also have a wide range of drinks. I heard they also have live music sessions on special days: Delicious, good presentation skills, and a cozy atmosphere. The boss is friendly. It opens till late at night. Overall it's a great place.

Great food and a great atmosphere. It has become a regular spot for me.nThe chef is great and all of the staff are so friendly. The level of service might be the best thing. This place is underrated and deserves to be better known amongst the Zhubei crowds. Highly recommend this great place.

Atmosphere: dim, cozy, live piano performance on selected nightsnnFood:nnpoutine was surprisingly authentic, tastes just like what I had in Vancouver. Just hoping there could be a bit more gravynnBaked Brie was my favorite dish, creamy and milky Brie cheese goes well the the cranberry sauce, mouth watering.nnChicken skewer: tender chicken roasted with peri peri sauce, goes perfectly with the yogurt saucenn48 hr Sous Vide short ribs: meat was tender, steak knife is sharp (a lot of restaurants don’t sharpen their steak knives often), except one tiny drawback: the temperature of the meat was tad bit on the cool/cold side, wasn’t sure if it’s supposed to be like this or it could’ve been the temp. drop during the transport from 2nd floor to the first floor.nnScallop Risotto: interesting Rosé sauce with scallops. I liked it but personally would’ve preferred it to be less sour and more creamy. But that’s just me.nnNow let’s talk about the servicennThe reason why I gave Ruban a 4 star instead of 5 is because I think there’s room to improve on their service. I’m not sure if the waiters/waitresses are new or just part timers trying to make 3x the hourly during CNY but me and my gf both felt like they weren’t very professional. E.g when I tried to order steak, I was told it ran out, i decided to go for the peri peri chicken, was told it ran out also. I was surprised that instead of just telling me what’s not available when I was ready to order, the girl elected to wait for me to order first and then told me it’s out. She didn’t seem like she’s up to date on what’s available or not.nnOther than the service, food is great and would definitely come back next time we visit Xinzhu again.

Good environment, delicious food and wine. It’s definitely a good western restaurant in Zhubei city. I have tried Grilled salmon, and Cuban sandwich. I was surprised they didn’t dilute much their testy to match Taiwanese flavor. Overall, I like here. This restaurant made me feel I was at a bar in Canada.
