Very big and beautiful Tian Gong Temple.

First time I decided to really take a look inside one of these temples.nnRather surprised and shocked at the number of statues of spirit underworld characters. Not sure why this is the case... is it to scare away bad denizens of the spirit underworld? But even the shrines that people worship and make offerings are dedicated to what clearly appear to be spirit underworld characters. Isn't one supposed to be worshiping something less shady? It just doesn't seem right.nnVery stark contrast to temples in other parts of Asia.
