The train station of in central city is the hub of transportation connecting to other towns and districts. The building looks old but inside the facility is new and well maintained. There are three platforms for north bound and south bound trains. It is usually crowded during rush hours, but the railway is still of much convenience for people to reach the city!

Hsinchu Railway Station, built in 1913, is the oldest one of all railway stations that have still existed in Taiwan. The station was designed by Japanese architect, but it was built in Western styles, including German Gothic architectural elements and some Baroque styles. If you take a train to here, please stop your hurried steps and admire the architecture meticulously. There are also some famous historic sites around the station. Why not plan an historical intellectual journey in Hsinchu for a day? I bet you will enjoy it!

Hsinchu train station is the most historical train station in Taiwan. It's has more than 130 years history. Not only with its special look, which mixed the Baroque and Gothic style, but also its advantage geographical location, makes over 50,000 people come here per day. Stores and scenic spot around here are also amazing. You can walk about 10 minutes to go to Du Cheng Huang Temple, where has hundreds of delicious foods. Like braised pork rice, herbal ribs, meatball soup, and so forth. Furthermore, the shopping street is definitely perfect. You can find different kinds of clothes, books, decorations, and so on. They are all beautiful but cheep. It's a wonderful place for everyone!

Very nice looking from the outside, it could be better if they remove the ugly ceiling inside and reveal the original ceiling.
