Longfenggu Park

Location of the opening scene of Martin Scorsese's Silence.

Beautiful park and is accessible by bus. The sulfur smell, however, is quite strong. If you're not used to it, I suggest bringing a mask with you.

Accessible, beautiful, but best seen on the way elsewhere in the Yangming Mountains. Get off the bus/road at Dunxu to hike into the hills for free public hotsprings or at Datong House to walk down along the path for a free hot spring foot bath.

Open air hot springs park with steaming vent holes and pools. Too hot and acidic for actual swimming, but an impressive view, and nice trailhead for venturing further into the mountains.

What a shame! We should apologize to Nature for what people have done to her face!
