Parking

The Hongtan parking lot was originally the parking lot where I planned to climb Shamao Mountain today, but later I gave it up in order to add the Tianmu Mountain trail to the itinerary. This is a place where many climbers gather. If you park here, you can take the Hengling Trail to Qianshan Park and climb the Shamao Mountain through the Yangming Lake trail. But in fact, there is an obvious uphill dirt-rock trail at the entrance of the Hengling Trail. According to other climbers, it is possible to go directly to the Taipu mountain pass and climb to the top of Shamao Mountain, but I have not tried it personally. This parking lot is indeed quite spacious. It should be said that there is no need to worry about insufficient parking spaces for 24 hours. The narrow path into the parking lot is more worrying.
