The user unit has listened to everyone's opinions, and only after the acrylic sign is removed, can the style and appearance of the monument itself be coordinated and complete. Thank you to everyone who participated in the removal of the sign. You deserve a five-star evaluation.

The lights are beautiful at night I want to say, I don’t know what unit is the historic site??? Unexpectedly, an investigation found that it was actually a Taiwanese wine business office

[Taiwan Governor's Office Monopoly Bureau, Hsinchu Branch] The Hsinchu Monopoly Bureau was originally the "Taipei Monopoly Bureau Hsinchu Branch". It was established in 1922 (Taisho 11) to implement the tobacco and alcohol monopoly system. The original office building was also located in the Hsinchu State Room. Due to the sluggish export of salt in Taiwan at that time, the salt fields of Xiajiu Gangzhuang and Xiangshanzhuang were reduced due to the excessive amount of salt, which led to the reduction of the business of the Oil Port Branch of the Monopoly Bureau which originally handled the monopoly of salt in the Hsinchu area. It was also in 1922 (Taisho 12) was relegated to the Hsinchu branch office, and the salt monopoly business was incorporated into the Hsinchu branch office. In 1924 (Taisho 13 years), it was renamed the "Monopoly Bureau Hsinchu branch office" and the business of selling tobacco was added. In 1934 (Showa 9), after the acquisition of Taiwanese Nao Co., Ltd., he mastered the camphor business in the mountainous area. Due to the increase in business, the office space was insufficient, and a new office was established in Sakame 2-chome 1, Sakae Town, Hsinchu City (current location) The house was completed in 1935 (Showa 10), and was upgraded to the "Hsinchu Branch of the Monopoly Bureau" on June 17th, 1936 (Showa 11). After Japan was defeated in 1945 and the National Government fled to Taiwan, the Hsinchu branch of the Monopoly Bureau was reorganized into the "Taiwan Tobacco and Alcohol Sales Bureau Hsinchu Branch" and later reorganized as the "Taiwan Tobacco and Alcohol Company", which has also become the company’s business office today , Announced in 2001 as a historic site in Hsinchu City. ————————————————————————— [ building style ] The Hsinchu Branch of the Monopoly Bureau is a three-story reinforced brick building designed by ※Umezawa Shajiro. The style of this building is influenced by modernism, with less ornate decorations and attention to horizontal lines. The two sides rise to the center one by one, with the image of strengthening the entrance. The overall shape of the building follows the arc of the corner of the street, and the center of the top arc is equipped with a flagpole seat. There is a recessed and spacious entrance on the first floor. There are round arch windows on the left and right sides of the entrance. The main entrance is in the middle. The internal space contains the lobby, the branch office and the public reception room. The second floor is the office space. , The third floor is the meeting space. Except for the double arched windows at the top, the other floors are all rectangular windows and square windows. The shape changes are relatively monotonous. At present, the building still belongs to the office space used by the Taiwan Tobacco and Alcohol Company, so the necessary restoration of cultural assets has not yet started. The slogan "Building Civil Defense, Consolidating National Defense" is still left on the right wall of the building, but some of it has faded. ————————————————————————— ※Umezawa Shajiro: An architect born in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, from a gentry background. In 1907, he worked as a survey employee in Japan. The next year he went to Tokyo Engineering School to study the construction department. After graduating in 1911, he went to Taiwan and served as the civil engineering department of the Governor's Office in Taiwan. He became a technician in 1917. In 1928, he became a technician in the Ministry of Railways of the Governor’s Office in Taiwan. In 1930, he was a local technician in Tainan State. The following year he also served as the Minister of Taiwan Architectural Association. , Suehiro Town business district buildings. After being transferred to the Monopoly Bureau in 1934, important buildings such as the Hsinchu Branch of the Monopoly Bureau, Songshan Tobacco Factory, and Chiayi Branch of the Monopoly Bureau were designed.
