We were there today. The food was delicious as always, but I think the staffs need more training. The reasons being thatn1. As we didn’t make a reservation, we were told that we have to wait for 2 hours but in reality we waited for only half hour. I don’t know how the waiting time was estimated, but I can tell that even with the number of reservations, there are still several tables available for walk-in customers. We decided to wait as we don’t think it possible that we have to wait for 2 hours. It turns out that we were right. Unfortunately, many other customers were turned away because of that.n2. It would be nice if the staffs be more proactive by offering waiting customers a menu or some waters to drink.n3. We were given a table that was originally meant for 2 people, and we have 4. The question is not about the size of the table as I agreed with it beforehand. It is the way the staff arranged the seat that’s the question. Originally, she set the table with two chairs on each side, but then she set two more chairs on another side which makes it way too crowded. Then I suggested to her that we could sit more comfortably with 4 people on each side. Sorry for being direct here, but I thought it is obvious the best way and the staff should know it.n4. After we finished the meal and I went to pay for the bill with cash on my hand. I had been standing there for a few minutes. The staff was standing there busy doing things. I didn’t interrupt her because I thought she will service me when she was done. However, even when she was done, she didn’t notice me. She was very nice, but I think she needs to pay more attention to the people and environment around her.nAs I said, the food was great, and the staffs were nice. Just a little bit of training and improvement, everything will be even better!

Improvement from last time. Which was already pretty good. The baked potatoe came as a meal which was unexpected but pleasant surprise. The cottage pie and fish and chips were both excellent. The biggest surprise was the brownie. Crispy edge, milk flavored ice cream, and bitter chocolate sauce(hint of alcohol rum maybe?) were perfect complements to each other.

Great to have an English restaurant in this area for a change. Like the decor, fitting. As for the dishes, average, particularly disappointed with the fish and chips. The fish pieces had thick coating and fried, as a result, they tasted so greasy and very fishy. The pork stew didn't look like the picture on the menu, just had a few pieces of pork in overcooked sauce, no flavors. The popover bread was bad. The soup was too watery. The egg stuffed in pork was the one dish that tasted pretty good. The two deserts were reasonable. Unfortunately, when we paid, we were hit with another bad news, we were charged $90 extra each for our tea, which we were not told when we ordered. We were told by the waiter that, as part of the meal for two, we could choose any one of the tea on the drink page. Didn't feel like arguing, not ever coming back again anyway!
