Easy to access sight seeing for tourist. The Mao Kong gondola ride is a leisurely ride to the top of the hill where one gets to visit tea house, street vendors selling a wide variety of local taiwanese food. Easy connection from the Taipei Zoo Station.nnVisited during March where the cool weather makes it an easy way to explore the whole area (although March is wet and very rainy).

Fun and a little exciting (especially when the gondola stops randomly). I recommend planning to board before sunset, and taking a night ride on your return for great views. There are some affordable restaurants with great views nearby Maokong station.

Enjoyable outing. We went on a drizzly Saturday morning and there were no queues for the regular cable car (the one with the transparent glass DID have a 30-min wait though).nnFare from the Taipei Zoo Station all the way up to Maokong Gondola Station is NT$120 per pax. The 30-day MRT season pass does NOT cover the cable car ride but you can use the EasyCard to pay.nnLovely walks at the top. Can get a tad windy so dress a little warmer on cold days.

One of the must visit place in taipei. There are very beautiful scenes from the gandola and especially the night view very cool and relaxing.

A must do when in Taipei. Beautiful views of the city and mountain tea farms. Great selection of tea houses and street vendors when you reach the top.
