Sacred Tree Station

The Sacred Tree Station in the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area.

The train station of Shenmu Line - I would prefer to translate it to ‘magical woods’ rather than ‘sacred tree’. From here you can walk around and find many old cypresses which are as old as two thousand years and as tall as almost hundred meters. It is quite a magical experience.

Sacred trees of generations. First generation of sacred trees died out after hundreds of years, but that’s not the end of life. Second generation of sacred trees grew up on their trunks to continue the life of nature. When the second generation went through their life cycle, the third and latest generation of sacred trees rose from the top of the tree trunk. Life never dies out with a period.
