Nice place to visit to experience the locals’ way of life. Recommend to visit in the morning as there are lesser people, hence you would be able to take photos at the railway tracks without people. Quite a number of local snacks available at the shops so keep your stomach empty before coming.nnTrain tickets are available at the station, prices and location as shown in the photos. There are trains to Chiayi station, etc. Can also visit the two historical trains built since 1910s, kept at the back of the station.nnTip: there are lockers available at the station at 50 TWD per 3 hours so please use them so that you don’t need to lug your luggages or heavy bags around!

Nice old little village. We went here last to see fireflies. They said fireflies was at peak around april so you should come here around that month

Whole town is a tourist trap. If you don’t want to stay in town for a while, there’s a bus that leaves immediately after the train arrives.nnBus station to continue to Alishan is right above the station. Exit the station via the “engine museum” that is in the same direction as your train goes. The bus station will be to the left of the station exit.
