I don't know if there are plans to reopen this location, but it was currently undergoing construction when we got here. I don't know if it's closed for good, moving to another place, or undergoing renovation, but keep it in mind.

Lots of hands on displays. Great place for kids.

Hands down the best and most informative museum I've been to in Taiwan. Almost all signage in the permanent exhibits had excellent English translations (the temporary exhibit we saw had no English). There were a lot of signs with a good amount of information explaining how various artifacts were made and used, and how people lived. We went a Sunday afternoon and it was not particularly crowded. They even had luggage storage service and child strollers you could borrow (both for free); I think I saw wheelchairs as well, but I'm not completely sure.

If you have always been curious about the history and culture of the Aboriginals in Taiwan, then you must check out this place. They have detailed excerpts and artefacts of all the major tribes in Taiwan. Get ready to spend a full day here. However, there's not many food choices here so consider that when you are coming here

This is a good place to study. It can helps you for learning Taiwan's history. Its tickets are cheap so this place is suitable for a holiday visit.
