Tainanshimadouqumadou Elementary School

Madou Elementary School is one of the few old schools in Taiwan for more than 100 years. The school has more than 120 years of history since its foundation 14 years before the Republic of China. From the history of this old country elementary school, we can see the entire development process of education in Taiwan. Madou Elementary School is located in the center of Madou District. It was built in 1898, during the Japanese era. It has outstanding performance in various aspects, and is a high-quality school with diverse performances. After the 0206 earthquake, social concerns were raised about the safety of old school buildings. After the school hired a professional structural technician to evaluate the earthquake resistance of the school buildings, the earthquake resistance was selected to be insufficient. The municipal government and the Education Bureau actively sought the subsidy from the Ministry of Education's "Plan for improving the earthquake resistance of public primary and middle school buildings and facilities and facilities (106-108)".
