Ok. We lived in the near neighborhood. Please please kindly fix the front English sign. It's been years. How do you expect oversea visitors to know the park. Good impression is what we need for us in Taiwan .

Surrounded by the shopping districts and busy streets within the dynamic downtown area, this park is a livable public place for people of all ages. The unobstructed setting enables children playing around the play facilities that is well under the supervision of their parents, allows folks finding the spot to enjoy a quiet moment under tree canopies while concurrent activities occur, such as walking and jogging, or badminton playing around.

A Quiet Park in Zhongshan District Linsen park is a peaceful, but small park. The park includes a little playground, along with a big grassy field. The paths are stroller-friendly, and children may also enjoy playing on the large stones near the western entrance.

Nice little park in the centre of the city. Nice for a quick stroll or reading a book under a pergola.

I was told that the site of this park used to house a funeral parlour, and had been haunted, I haven’t found any proof yet. But this area used to be the burial site of the 7th Governor-General of Taiwan (Baron Akashi Motojiro (明石 元二郎, 1 September 1864 – 26 October 1919), and his tenure as governor: from 6 June 1918 to 26 October 1919), his death coincided with the period of Spanish flu that was rampant even in Taiwan, it could be that he contracted that infection then. He passed away in Japan, and was brought back to Taiwan for burial, according to his wish. He was the only Japanese governor for Taiwan who was buried here. However, the area around his tomb was thronged and then inhibited by the people who fled to Taiwan in around 1950 with the Nationalist government, and the tomb had been obscured by the makeshift buildings thereupon. Until Taipei city government drove those people away in around 1997, around 50 years later, did the clearing, and this tomb was found. The remains of Akashi Motojiro was moved to Fuyin Mountain Christian Cemetery in Sanzhi Township, New Taipei City(三芝福音山基督教墓地)in 1999. Now the original burial site is part of this park, there sits a stone tablet bearing the wordings “The original resting place of the late governor general of Taiwan from 1917 to 1918, Mr. Akashi Motojiro born of Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan in 1863 ad died at Fukuoka in 1918”, there are also 2 torii’s (鳥居)( one for Akashi Motojiro, the other for Kakashi‘s secretary Masatake Kamada(鐮田正威), Kamada passed away in Taiwan, in the year of 1935, who was also buried in the same cemetery of Kakashi)left in the park to comemorize a bygone era. 在林森北路,中山北路繁華地帶,有片大大的綠地,真好。秋天,不大熱,傍晚時分來這兒逛一逛,真舒服。
