Chateau de Chine Hotel Kaohsiung

I gave this hotel a solid 5 stars rating. Room is big, bed is big. Shower, bathtub n toilets r separated. Super clean shower room. Free parking, wash n drying machine. Free soda water n ice water 24/7. Free crackers, juice coffee n soda from 7am to 10pm. Great price and the staff is friendly. Not to mention great location. Good for 1st time visitors in Kaohsiung. 5mins walking distance to Love River. Plenty of street foods nearby. McDonald’s, family mart r just around the corner. Couldn’t find a drawback at all.

So far, this is the best hotel in Kaohsiung if you don't mind not having swimming pool or garden.nGood food selection for breakfast, with clear information label for vegetarian.nHaving business center that provide drinks and snacks.nAlso provide bike to borrowed.nAlso located at tourist friendly area.

Location and everything aside, I expect to sleep in a CLEAN hotel when I book any room at any class. At first glance, I thought that this hotel would be a decent place to stay without the extra frills of a 5 star hotel. We should have known when we were picked up in a dirty van that we should go elsewhere. The bed had stains all over, the bathrooms were dirty and had hair in the showers. When we asked for new sheets, the new sheets also had stains and the hotel staff couldn't figure out how to get us CLEAN sheets. When we complained again they stated that they would get us a new room. The new room also had stained sheets though they were less stained than the others. There are other accommodations in better locations around the city which is why this one should be avoided at all cost.

This was a very pleasant stay, with amazing staff and breakfast. Shoutout to Dicky, the chef, who went out of his way to be accommodating and kind to us. Thank you for everything!

Drove a electric car there for one night stay. Hotel has one parking space equipped with Tesla destination charger and staffs at front desk were very helpful regarding settling my vehicle to be charged. Room is tiny and clean.
