As far as impulsive decisions go, having dinner here tonight was a fantastic one! The food and arrive is truly outstanding. The price is a bit higher than your local mom and pop place but you pay for what you get! If you are new to Taiwan this is definitely a first stop dinner place to try.nnThey’re truffle xiaolongbao is an absolute must! As well as the doumiao (pea leaf) the best green stuff you’ll ever eat!! I do not eat pork but today I had two pieces of fried rice pork chop it was absolutely delicious. More like a barbecue peppery taste than a pork taste! We also had a little starter of egg plant which served cold, but very tasty, then quickly realized that we ordered way too much food! So instead of getting the usual beef noodle soup, which is a signature Taiwanese dish, we opted to get only beef soup. You can choose a cut of beef with less tendons. The waitress warned that the soup would be spicy but honestly I didn’t think it was spicy at all.nnIn addition to great food and service it’s the little things that count, cute little toothpicks and once you are seated they will put a smell protective cover over your bag or jacket, or give you a basket to put your belongings into.

Truly a staple Taiwanese restaurant. Some people say it's touristy and mainstream but definitely for good reason. Their prices are really reasonable for the dining experience and the soup dumplings are so delicious. I also love all the variety, especially their vegetarian options. There's usually a pretty long line here, regardless of when you go, but they have a really good system, so you're never waiting for too long.nnNote: Visited prior to COVID

Iconic, must-visit Taiwanese dim sum restaurant that was awarded a Michelin star. The service is extremely fast and efficient, and the food is delicious. I recommend the 小籠包 and 蝦仁蛋炒飯.

Some of the best food I have had since arriving in Taiwan. Their fried rice was perfect, best I've had for sure. Wow

One of the Biggest DTFs in Taipei with excellent service and friendly multilingual staff. The food is on par with every other DTF I've been to in Taiwan - excellent! What impressed me most was how quickly we were served and able to move on to do some shopping. Will definitely be back.
