Vegan Taipei

Great meal! We arrived between lunch and dinner so no wait. We started with mushroom and tomato soups. We followed this with the Vegan Lamb Burger and Ground Beef and Mushroom pizza. Final courses were Chocolate Velvet and Butterscotch cakes. This was our first visit so we wanted to try multiple dishes. Every dish was amazing (and I’m not vegan). If every vegan meal was this great, I could do this everyday! Great meal!

I had a great dining experience here. Their staff were very friendly and polite. I ordered the vegan pumpkin lasagna, chai tea, and the vegan mint chocolate cake for dessert. The seasoning for the lasagna was right on. The chai tea was some of the better ones I tasted in Taipei. And the mint chocolate cake had the right amount of sweetness. Everything tasted delicious!!!nIf you’re reading this review after 12/27/20, they’re moving to a new place. I posted a picture of their new business card with the new address.

I have been to a number of good vegan restaurants in Taipei, and Vegan Taipei remains my favorite. Their pizza is the gold standard for vegan pizza in this city. The cheeze is homemade, the crust is tasty and well-crafted, the topping options are numerous, the crust to topping ratio is honed to perfection, and the portions are generous. Vegan Taipei’s menu boasts a wide range of non-pizza options too, from sandwiches to curries, to their famous and delicious cakes. The owner is a friendly guy who is easy to strike up a conversation with. It’s easy to see how much work and love he’s put into this restaurant.nnThey have recently moved from their prior location on the brown line to a new, larger space by Xinyi Anhe. Be aware that pizza orders should be put in 45 minutes before you plan to eat.

One of the best Vegan restaurants in the city. Owner Mr. Ravi was very generous and let us try few samples of his 4 different types of handmade purely vegan cheeses (very affordable price tag too).nI had a mushroom burrito, it was delicious and I’d highly recommend it. Friends had different dishes and they say the same.nAs they prepare everything fresh and you don’t have enough time, or want to have quick bite, you can also preorder your food 20-30 minutes in prior to your arrival.
