Came across this place while exploring the nearby parks. It’s defiantly a must visit place if you enjoy exploring. Large area to wander around outside, many different paths and slightly hidden areas. Very different landscaping and architecture compared with western estates.

Free access for all. Chinese style old house, very well maintained. The scenery and atmosphere is awesome, so many couples are taking wedding photos here. A bit far from metro station but you can walk or take bus there.

The house was built more than 2 centuries ago. The government renovated it and reopen the old house as a museum in 2000. It's very nice to come and enjoy walking in this beautiful Chinese garden.

One of the must-visit place in Taipei, sure the temples dotted around the city are awesome, but this place give you a peek into where people lived (albeit wealthy) 240s years ago, besides main residence, there's gardens, kiosks , gazebos and ponds, every turn you make you are facing a framed picture in the garden corridors. The Wuhan virus is a crisis, but somehow less visitors brings out the tranquility and peacefulness of this place. Pick a cool day, better if light raining day, go visit.

A rare Min Nan style house that’s well preserved with amazing garden. I was so pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the whole site is. This is why there are so many people taking photos here. Architecture and wood work alone is a national treasure.
