So I was denied entry because I didn’t have my passport but I had my ARC. The reason was they needed to see the reason on entry to Taiwan on my Passport of which it is written on my ARC as well. I can’t blame the staff but management has to change rules. For residents there is no need to carry passport around while we have residence cards. It is understandable for visitors they need to have passports, this is everywhere to most countries I have been to. The purpose of stay or entry is on ARC or PFC or whichever resident card one holds, no need to request for passports unless they don’t need foreigners to their businesses, which I think they can widen their business perspective.nnMy take, management has to reconsider and educate their staff for details they need are not only on passports but on residents cards as well.
