Strongly recommended to avoid the outdoor seating. Not knowing that the environment would be so poor, and that the restaurant would refuse to change seats for us, we didn’t request upon booking and got assigned to the outdoor seats, which are exposed directly to the streets with noises and awful smell from the night market. The waitress said that she called the police for the smell but it obviously was not the policemen’s scope that they never showed up. We had to escape from the restaurant as soon as we finished the actually quite decent food/wine, which earned them 2 stars from me. But after all, I would definitely not come again to spend a minimum order of $1200 NT to get the greasy smell all over my hair and clothes.

Food was amazing. Authentic pasta dishes and fabulous Florentine steak. My only complaint is very few veggies on the menu. The leafy salad that they recommended was basically one small wedge of lettuce... the chef doesn’t like vegetables ud83dude02 Great hospitality and our family truly enjoyed the experience.

Their gnocchi is heaven. So fluffy and perfect balance of cheese / candied nuts.nnWe were seated outside which is perfect when one of your dining partner is 4 yr old. But inhaling the passing by scooter / cars CO2 were just less pleasant.

Our worst experience so far was in Divino Taipei!nnJust because we wanted to order our food dish by dish, since I’m pregnant and it’s much better for me to eat little by little, we had to experience the worst service!nnAnd let me explain. The tables for two ppl are tiny. We really didn’t want to stuff ourselves with food that is on the table already just because the other food is coming.nSo the owner got really mad at us...nHe came to our table to serve our pasta himself. He moved the food that was left on a serving plate to our plates himself!nAnd he threw the pasta on the table!nnI have never had such a bad service before in my life so I was quite shocked...nNeedless to say that I would never recommend this place to anyone and would never come back myself.

The food here is glorious, especially the steak, which best I've tried in Taipei, cooked and seasoned to perfection. The bread basket is fantastic, salty and delicious. Specials help to keep a slim menu varied and interesting.nnA large selection of excellent wines, ranging in price from reasonable to eye watering.nnGreat food is nothing without great service, they really shine, the passion for the food and wine is obvious, the entire team is friendly, helpful, and help to raise this from a meal to a dining experience.nnThe only downside, it is expensive for Taiwan (especially the wine) in this case I would say you get exactly what you pay for.nnYou'll need to book in advance and when busy, expect your food to take a while, however good things come to those who wait, you can relax and enjoy your wine in anticipation the excellent food to come.
